Good2Go is a free mobile app for iOS and Android devices designed to address the tricky question of sexual consent that has permeated young, college-aged culture throughout the U.S. Sandton Technologies seeked an app marketing company to generate publicity for the controversial app.
ComboApp was challenged to create messaging setting the tone for positive national PR coverage.
ComboApp ran a series of workshops to develop messaging to shape the appropriate media approach. Messages were developed to be suitable and attractive for all stakeholders including people in college, parents and third party regulators. Media collateral included a core value statement, elevator pitch, talking points, press release and an app store optimized app description.
Navigating a minefield of potential negative PR coverage, ComboApp secured a multitude of positive coverage and the app was featured in hundreds of outlets including The Telegraph, Cosmo, the TODAY Show, MSNBC, The Doctors and more. Within 7 days the app was downloaded by tens-of-thousands of people and reached the top of the U.S. App Store lifestyle category.
